When Be As You Are heard about the earthquake in Haiti, we immediately knew we wanted to do something to help. After a little brainstorming, we decided the best way for us to do our part was to donate 50% of all our proceeds on this website to charities helping the victims of this terrible tragedy. The Be As You Are Team
So yes it’s true… this is my last week as a Be As You Are summer intern. I can’t believe how fast the weeks rolled by. A few of you have asked me where all my updates are. I know I know… I told you that I was going to be blogging all summer long, but apparently they had work for me to do… I mean from negotiating million dollar deals to producing media campaigns and even creating their top selling designs… okay … I didn’t do any of those things, but I did work very hard and was able to get some hands on experience and learn a lot! No matter the project there was never a dull moment! Thanks everyone for all your help and support. I’ll be thinking of you guys in-between frat parties and football games. So my name’s Tina and I’m the new intern here at Be As You Are. I’m super psyched to be spending my summer here, learning about the fashion industry and what goes on behind the scenes! So far my first three days here have been really exciting. I feel like I’m starting to get the hang of it and everyone is great! Oh, and did I mention how cool my boss is (never too early to start kissing ass). Anyway, this is obviously the coolest internship DC has to offer, you know you’re jealous and want my life… ok, I’ll stop rubbing it in. : )

Today is Kite Day, Limerick Day, and Nutty Fudge Day! We wrote a couple of limericks to celebrate.
In honor of this day, our art department wrote the following limerick…
I unwound the string to fly my kite
But couldn’t manage to start its flight
The stupid thing wouldn’t budge
Cause it was made of nutty fudge!
Drag, I’ll have it for dinner tonight!
Not to be outdone, the Sales Department wrote this limerick…
It’s time to buy some flip flops!
